Tour description – overnight trip 2- Day Tour

2-day trip – with 1 overnight stay in a beautiful old mountain summer farm.

• The tour starts from Sjodalen Hyttetun and Camping or from Murudalen
• Minimum 2, maximum 5 participants
• All participants drive their own sled
• All participants are responsible for their own dog team throughout the trip, including preparing the team, feeding and care, staking out, etc.
• Lunch and dinner are provided by Heidal Husky. Breakfast and other snacks and food for the trip are arranged by each participant. Heidal Husky takes care of hot drinks

• Day 1

Everyone packs their own sled and prepares their team before we start. The tour heads towards Nysetrene / Flekkvatnet with a lunch break along the way. After arriving at the overnight location, the dogs are cared for and fed, and the straw beds are prepared for the night. When the dogs have settled comfortably into the straw, everyone goes into the summer farm house for dinner. A large old fireplace is lit, and the evening is spent around the fire enjoying the traditional mountain farm atmosphere before finding the bedrooms and turning in for a good night’s sleep.

• Day 2

The day starts with a morning chat before going out to care for and feed the dogs.

After the dogs have been taken care of, everyone goes inside and has breakfast at the long table in the summer farm. The plan for departure and the day’s stage is made here.

After packing the equipment and tidying up the summer farm, the dogs are harnessed and the day’s trip begins, ending where the tour started on day 1.

The tour is carried out at a relaxed pace without stress or rush. The experience of the trip and the cooperation with the dogs are the main focus.

Participants must be in normally good physical condition to be able to handle all weather conditions.
